Carl J. Macko presides as president and founding principal of Synergy Capital Management, LLC. Prior to assisting individuals, families and small businesses with their financial planning and investment management needs, Mr. Macko served in the position of Investment and Mutual Fund Advisor with Bank of Montreal Mutual Funds in Toronto, Canada. In this position he was licensed to provide investment recommendations on 34 security, income, growth and aggressive growth mutual funds. Mr. Macko provided advice with respect to planning for retirement, retirement income planning, educational planning and non-registered investments. Established in 1817 as Bank of Montreal, (TSX, NYSE: BMO), with total assets of $320 billion and 35,000 employees, BMO provides a broad range of retail banking, wealth management and investment banking products and solutions in Canada and the United States.
Mr. Macko has successfully completed the educational requirement set forth by the Certified Financial Planner (CFP ® ) Board of Standards. He has completed the rigorous Certified Financial Planner (CFP ® ) program offered through the College of Financial Planning in Denver, Colorado.
Mr. Macko has also completed Level 1 of the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA ® ) program offered through the CFA ® Institute in Charlottesville, Virginia. The CFA designation is a globally recognized standard for measuring the competence and integrity of investment professionals and is a signature of investment excellence within the global investment community.
Mr. Macko holds a Bachelor of Commerce (BComm) from the University of Guelph (Canada) and a Master's Degree in Business Administration (MBA) from the Mays Graduate School of Business at Texas A&M University. He is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) and a Registered Investment Advisor in the State of Georgia.
